i'd just like to say i thoroughly agree with the comments made sbout the stewards at palmerston, taking airhorns away from young supporters is a disgrace. Also i think the attitude of clydebanks fans on sat were both highly immature and overly aggresive. In the supporters game as well they picked fights before during and after, and then had the cheek to complain to other teams that we are a nasty side.
to russels comment about soccer am, definately lets go on i reckon we can win the sven goran ericson game no problem,

First of well done on saturday it was a magic game
But to the point about rock steady and how disapointed i am in the steawrd who confiscated the air horn , why is he not allowed it is creating a great atmosphere. I was there when mr bradford assured us that it would be ok to have the hooter in the terracing. my friend received an e-mail from the S.F.A saying it was ok to have the air horn at games .
The fans are not happy with this because it is killing the atmosphere in the terracing. I am afraid to say that rock steady are preventing us from getting behind the Players and this could prevent Queens from going up.
SO ROCK STEADY JUST BEAT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firt of all - well done Queens for that great win at the weekend, Fandabidozi.
Seconly I think that soimething needs to be done about the security guards, one in particular.
Thats three times now that my friend has had his air canister taken from him. What a disgrace!!!
It adds to the atmosphere and sometimes its the only thing creating atmosphere.
We have written to the SFA and my friend has spoke to Mr Bradford himself, and both have no problems with the air horn.
This problem needs to be addressed A.S.A.P. because their is a lot of hacked off fans.
C'mon rocksteady loosen up a bit!!!!!

In response to Kirk Dobie's message, I have written to Soccer AM in an attempt to get the Queen's fans of the week on, but they have not responded to me as of yet, so I will be writing to them again this week. It's a popular show and I'm sure there are loads of people trying to get on it, so I'm sure that pestering them is the best option

There have been some rather unpleasant visiting supports this season at Palmerston but the Bankies lot are the worst I've seen in a long time. Even their supporters team who played the Dynamos at the Kingholm earlier in the day were a thoroughly offensive lot apart from some of their more senior players who seemed rather red faced by it all.

Interesting point made about the Soccer AM fans on the programme. I reckon the Dynamo team should select a few players and apply to the show !!

Football is a game of personal opinions but the sponsor's choice of Paddy Atkinson as man of the match on Saturday was amazing. The crowd's reaction to the announcement was to laugh and that tells the whole story. Maybe the sponsors had partaking too much of Queens hospitality as Big Thomson and Andy Aitken (to name only two) were streets ahead of Paddy who, himself, admitted he had not one of his better games.
Changing the subject an interesting article in programme that John Connelly has used 62 players in his 65 games in charge - is this a record or does Gordon Dalziel still hold it after his first year at Ayr United where he used similar tactics in his effort to get promotion.

Well done Queens on an excellent victory over Clydebank lets hope for more of the same against stenhousemuir.Just one small point I have for queens what about some female toilets in the terracing .There is a growing number of females coming to palmerston and it is rather anoying trailing my youngest daughter to one of the stands for the toilet thus missing a good ten minutes of the match.

Its about time queens sorted out the over reacting rock unsteady stewards before more fans are put of coming to palmerston .Queens should be trying all they can to encourage young fans to attend palmerston. Its time to take a reality check and realise its football not snooker we are watching the more noise, the better it is for the players.Totally disagree with the fans slagging of the disabled bankies fan but anyone who knows the clydebank fans will tell you that this guy does nothing but abuse the oppossing players and fans all games so he should be prepared to get the same back.

i dont think i've ever been as excited at a queens home game when weatherson scored, i almost ran on the pitch, gordon connolly was excellant and how the boys kept their head and didnt react to the fouls raining in on them was superb.
promotion is in sight, just need a bit more belief.

Great performance by the boys on Saturday, best since the Stranraer game that saw us go top of the league.
Glad to see that Clydebank got exactly what they deserved from the game, Nothing!! A team that is full of Has Been players that think that if they kick the opposition hard enough that they should win the game, how they did not get at least 3 players sent off is a mystery to me.
Anyway, great performance lads and lets see the same again next week and for the rest of the season, you have proved that you can do it!!

Great win on Saturday against a strong, and often too robust, Clydebank. I thought that George O'Boyle looked really useful up front - lots of good first touches, plenty of awareness, and experieced cunning. Delighted that Peter Weatherson got the winner. He is still quality, even if he hasn't been slotting away the goals like last season - and he really seems to care about Queens, which is a real bonus in enthusiasm. We now need to put a consistent run together. Say 10 points from the next 4 games would really consolidate our position, and set us up nicely for the run-in for promotion at the end of the season. I guess the key will be the two games still to play against Stranraer. 4 or 6 points from those two matches would be a real boost towards attaining Division 1 status. That's what the Chairman and Manager clearly want, along with the fans. So let's do it!! Up the Queens!

Great result for Queens today and a strengthened/settled side bodes well for the run in,and make no mistake about it Clydebank,in spite of poor refereeing and a physical approach to their game, will be there at the seasons end hopefully along with Queens.(it just beggars belief how they exist on poor support and run full time professionals).
However in a game which will be remembered for beeing very physical-due in NO small measures to poor refereeing-and with few chances I write to voice my concern on 2 accounts, namely the behavior of the visiting support and the apathy of the"stewards"
The visiting support(very loud though well behind their team, but small in number)seemed to take great delight in kicking the hoardings and back of the stands where they were seated or supposed to be seated-let alone their threatening and intimidating beahavior prior to the winning goal. The stewards seemed to turn a blind eye to those who were standing and doing this moronic and inane behavior, whilst moving a few family groups at the start of the 2nd half away from numerous empty seats-though inside the queens side of the cordoned off area.
Whilst thankfully incidents involving crowd trouble over the years have been few and far between, the stewarding at Palmerston frankly is pathetic and leaves a lot to be desired,on the rare occasions when they are needed and I am sure if queens fans had behaved in such a manner(home or away) I am sure there would have been action taken.
Remember the pathetic site at the end of season game a couple of years ago against Partick with a pitch invasion at the end?,with the laughable sight of ONE steward in front of the main stand(arms akimbo)holding back the South fans-nb none joined the invasion they were too busy laughing at the pathetic man--- and as I recall Partick escaped an inquiry!.
With the resurrection of football hooliganism rearing its ugly head in the media agin I do not question the need for "Stewarding",but perhaps the standing of stewards would rise if rules were applied to ALL supporters and turning a blind eye or double standards were not applied.I would be interested to know how much this "service"costs the club as there alaways seems to be an ample presense of Police at Palmerston, and for what they do its hard to justify their presense ,and more than one of the home support has described their saturday afternoons as a "Cushy" number!.
Perhaps the answer to visiting morons who take delight in attempting to vandalise or intimidate, would be to put them in a cordoned off area on the Terreagle end-I know its condemed but it looks no different to the other standing area's at Palmerston or for that matter other other grounds in the 2nd div
Finally nice to see Jim T back and lets hope the next signing is an extension to JCs contract as he has brought stability and football not seen for many a year to the club, with astute signings and within the clubs means -(appologies if he has already signed an extension!).

Does anyone else think that there was a complete mis-regard to the safety of the Queens squad against Clydebank. There was 3 red card offences in the space of 5minutes in the first half and the referee only gave out two bookings and a warning. then only to see Derek Ferguson react to Paddy Atkinson and only given a warning. Gordon Connolly could have ended up with a broken leg after a string of 4 rash challenges. Surely the referee should have the guts to send a player off for such a serious offence.

Queens .. well done to the team for an outstanding performance and especially to John Connolly for a tactically astute selection and for continuing to improve the player pool .
Whilst Aitken , O'Boyle and Mcalpine were excellent today I thought that Barry Donald was superb .. 90% passing success rating on passes , including some sublime first touch and long range efforts , completely eclipsing the has beens in the Bankies mid-field .
I thought that there were more late tackles from Clydebank players today than I have ever seen in any match and how they remained with 11 men on the park I haven't a clue . They seemed to be intent on cynically stopping any attack and on singling out Queens best players with an intent to deliberately injure them .
We must keep up this application and get a run going . I still feel we are a striker and wide man short .
Very encouraging to read Ronnie Bradfords programme notes today ... we are right with you on rapid progress RB but what was the subtext to your notes .. who in the club hierarchy is holding us back ??
Congratulations again QOS and lets have the same again next Saturday Boys !!

hello all. I'm a Scunthorpe United, living in Aberystwyth, who has a soft spot for the Queens. As a lad I went on holiday to that area most years, and sort of took and interest in the footy. just saying good luck, and I'll keep checking up on the site.
PS IS Andy Aitken any good, as their was a rumour on the Scunthorpe United site saying a scout had been sent up?

Good to hear from you again Mick. The Dorset Doonhamers are indeed well remembered and it's a shame you haven't been back up lately. AFCB's results are still followed with interest.
The old Emerald Park Doonhamers are still very much on the go, though renamed Doonhamers Travel Club, and many of the same people are still running the club.
Best wishes to all.
