MATCH SUMMARY
Stevie Tosh was the only one of the 50%ers who failed to make the line up today, his place was taken by Jamie Adams and along side him John O'Neill was favoured to Andy Barrowman. The bench too saw a change with Barry John Corr calling off with a cold, his place was taken by Queen's goalkeeping coach and former Mid-Annandale stopper David 'Speedy' Byers.

Queens made a good start to the match and inside the first five minutes they could have taken the lead as both Sean O'Connor and Stephen Dobbie managed to pass up a great chance with both through on the 'keeper, Livingston soon found their feet and following four corners in quick succession a great chance was passed up as Gary Miller headed over the bar unchallenged.

Goalden chance passed up
The Queens strikers were in selfish mood today and on the quarter hour mark Sean O'Connor made good space down the right hand side and with Stephen Dobbie alone in the middle of the box big Sean elected to shoot for goal only to see his effort blocked by the leg of a defender as he slid in to clear. There was trouble for Queens at every Livingston corner today and moments after O'Connor's chance Livvie forced another corner which Neil Teggert fortunately nodded just past the post from another unopposed cross.

The game was evenly contested for the first twenty or so minutes but slowly Queens seemed to take control, however the next real chance of note came when John O'Neill set himself up wide right and sent in a beautiful dipping effort that almost caught out Stewart in the Livingston goal, the big 'keeper managed to tip the ball over to concede a corner.

O'Neill and Paton combine to win the ball
The half looked to be about finished after a 20 yard strike from Liam Fox was easily collected by MacDonald and at the other end a Stephen Dobbie turn and shot was comfortably collected by Stewart. However in the very last move of the half a Stevie Murray lobbed cross from the left bounced on the six yard box inviting Stewart to come and punch clear, the 'keeper was just beaten to the ball by a brave Sean O'Connor who managed to nod it over Stewart and into the net and collect yet another head injury to add to his collection.

As it turned out the lead lasted only ten minutes despite Queens dominating the opening exchanges of the half as a long ball over the top split the Queens defence and allowed Steven Craig a clear run in on goal, the striker took the ball first time and rifled his shot past MacDonald to score a well taken equaliser.

Good strike - poor defending
Queens were rocked by this and it was Livingston's turn to take the upper hand as they sensed the chance to secure their first division status today. Only the junction of the bar and post saved Queens from going behind as yet another corner was poorly defended and ended up with a Livingston chance. Liam Fox passed up another chance for Livingston as his long range effort flew past the upright with MacDonald at full stretch.

It took Queens thirty minutes of the half to get back into contention and both Stephen Dobbie and Sean O'Connor turned up great chances to snatch the winner but it wasn't to be

Sean foiled by the post with Stewart beaten.
All in all a draw was a fair result as both sides enjoyed equal spells of supremacy with neither able to produce that winning goal. At the end of the match and with the other results in the division it was Livingston who were mathematically safe whilst Queens still have work to do.
