Dumfries Defender Annan Athletic, Queen of the South, Gretna A true Queens man. Returned to the fold following two seasons of missionary work at Gretna, immediately brought some pace to the defence and helped make a back three work for the side for the first time in a number of years of trying. In combination with Stuart Lovell and Jim Thomson the Annan lad managed to secure one of the tightest defences in the league over the last three months of last season. Sustained a knee ligament injury in the friendly match against Coleraine in pre-season but is just about ready to return to the side. |

Irvine Midfielder QOS Youth A contender for the 'Player of the Season' award last term with his fearless work down the right hand side of midfield, also contributes more than his fair share of goals making himself second top scorer last term, or joint top scorer if you only count goals from open play. Don't be put off by his slight frame as it houses the heart of a lion. Has been out injured for the past few weeks. |

Glasgow Goalkeeper Celtic, Queen's Park - L, Motherwell, Stranraer His spell at Queens has been a bit of a disaster really. Whilst on joining us he was a highly rated 'keeper he has had some good and some bad moments and has swapped the jersey with Colin Scott a couple of times as Ian McCall decided upon his number 1 choice. It is now clear that Scooter is the No1 choice and that BJ is unlikely to feature for the first team in any other position than the bench. Despite being told he cold leave during the January transfer window he produced an heroic display in the cup replay penalty shoot out with Dundee and remains a Queens player until the end of the season at least. |

Has been a revelation at Palmerston with his free scoring peformances and intelligent link-up play. |

Carluke Defender Balmore, Stranraer Impressed Ian McCall when playing and scoring for Stranraer versus Dundee United and again last season in the encounters with his former side Stranraer, which he captained. Offered and signed a two year deal at Queens. An imposing right sided defender. A victim of a Doug Imrie challenge in the match versus Clyde that saw the big man out for a number of weeks and he is just making his comeback now. |

Wolverhampton Forward/Winger Hednesford Town, Dundee United - Rochdale (loan), Portadown (loan), Morton (loan), Queen of the South, Morecambe In all honesty Sean is at Palmerston because of his injury history, if it wasn't for this the big man would be a star at a much higher level. He is superb in the air and has brilliant ball control on the deck. His strength, speed and ability bring something to Queens that no other first division striker possesses. Back with a bang and demonstrating some of his best ever form for Queens at the moment. Has just signed a two year extension to his contract. |

Bellshill Forward/Midfielder Queen's Park, Celtic, Bournemouth, Queen of the South, St Mirren John is a bit of a legend at Queens, his goals helped us to the second division championship a few seasons back and his return as a striker saw him top the scoring charts last term. He has a cool head and if your life depended upon it you would want a man who has only ever had two penalties saved to be in your five for a penalty shoot out. The top scorer this season so far. |

Glasgow Goalkeeper Dalry Thistle, Rangers, Brentford, Airdrie, Hamilton, Raith Rovers, Clydebank Experienced goalkeeper formerly with Rangers as understudy to Andy Goram. Has been at Palmerston for six years now and when fit has proven an excellent 'keeper. Spends too much time on the sidelines with injury but when fit is an excellent shot stopper. Advised to hang up his boots after a long standing knee complaint and unsuccesful surgery in March 2007. |

Stirling Central Defender Clyde, Stenhousemuir, Queen of the South, Arbroath Ask any Queens fan who provides the passion in the side and undoubtedly the answer will be Jim Thomson, the man who has been player of the season three times over a ten year period has all the experience and skill you could wish for at this level. Missed a couple of starts in late August/early September to have a quick 'clean up' operation on his knee but has come back and once again shown the commitment that characterises his play. Two goals so far this term, one a spectacular overhead kick, have added another dimension to the big man's play. |

Kirkaldy Midfielder Arbroath, St. Johnstone, Raith Rovers, Livingston, Falkirk, Aberdeen, Gretna Signed after surprisingly being told by Gretna that he was free to leave the Raydale Park side in the January transfer window. A top class midfielder who will hopefully add even more impetus to the drive off the bottom spot. Was on the wrong end of a challenge at Airdrie United in only his third game for the side and is presently sidelined through the knee injury that he sustained. |

Harthill Forward Hearts Signed on loan from Hearts during the January 2006 transfer window and was a superb contibutor to the 'Great Escape'. Signed up to Queens as soon as his Hearts contract expired on June 1st. An ever industrious player who causes defenders no end of problems. Suffered a fractured cheekbone in the match against Gretna in August which saw him miss for a number of weeks. Made a comeback with a protective mask and is every bit as fearless as before. |

Scores spectacular goals in reserve matches and has made an impact recently as the creative midfielder with his penetrating crosses causing all sorts of trouble in the oppositions defence. An injury ruled him out for the season in March and as a result Warren parted company with the club. |

Dumfries Midfielder QOS Youth, QOS, Kilmarnock Willie is a player who divides opinion on the terraces, some love his skilful wing play and on his game he can beat the best of defenders, however others remain to be convinced until the final product is produced regularly enough. It cannot be denied however that he has the ability to turn a match on his own. Joined Kilmarnock during the January transfer window but has been loaned back to Queens for a month. |

Motherwell Forward Jerviston BC, Queen of the South, Southend United, Oxford United, Gillingham, Queens Park Rangers, Partick Thistle, Falkirk The Queen's Club Shop produced a special edition mug last summer and on it were four true Queens greats, Allan Ball, Roy Henderson, Jim Patterson and Andy Thomson and no one who witnessed the first spell of Andy at Palmerston could ever argue with that. We are now honoured with the return of the man whose transfer to Southend to future England manager Peter Taylor for £250,000 helped in no small way to construct the East Stand at Palmerston. His return in January combined with some crucial goals during the 'great escape' only served to underline the value that the man has to the Queens support. Scored both goals at home versus Livingston to remind those who doubted him that he is the No.1 Queens goalscorer of the past half century. |
